About Us

Idea

Pakistan has more young people than it has ever had and a continuous increase is forecasted till 2050 (United Nations Development Programme, 2018). According to the last census, the total population of Pakistan was 207.7 million (Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, 2019) and out of 207.7 million population, 64% is younger than 30 (around 132.9 million) and 29% (around 38.54 million) is 15– 29 years (Pakistan National Human Development Report, 2017). By 2050, youth population will reach 181 million (UNFPA Pakistan, 2018).

According to Pakistan Economic Survey 2019-20 there were 1.86 million students enrolled in the universities and other degree awarding institutions (Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, 2020). However, other than university students, an estimated 3.3 million youth in total is expected to start their professional life without proper career guidance. This is the real challenge!

One more problem is that in our society, we experience trends, where the students start pursuing trend-specific careers without knowing their skills, interests, abilities and job market demands and eventually they end up in wrong occupations. A complete chaos!

Pathfinder™ is one of the other initiatives taken by Coaching & Training Pakistan Foundation (CTPF) to provide educational and career guidance to the youth of Pakistan. With the help of this website, we guide millions of students and professionals every year. By this initiative we also engage parents, teachers, career counselors, educational institutions, higher education authorities and employers.
